Reynaldo Torres
Energy & Water Manager
Rey Torres has over 30 years of experience in energy and water conservation.
He served in the U.S. Navy operating and maintaining power generation equipment. Rey worked at the University of Texas at Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ for 20 years. His experience was in operations and managing the power plant and chilling stations. He implemented several operational changes which resulted in substantial savings. He implemented the largest solar array system in Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ in 2012. He was awarded a President’s Staff Award for outstanding performance. Rey has been working at Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD for 10 years. After reviewing utilities for over 130 buildings his strategy was to focus on low cost measures. He has been installing electric and water sub-meters for remote monitoring. These Energy and Water conservation measures have helped reduced water usage by 35 percent and reduced electrical usage by 15 percent. Rey is also responsible for managing the Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Energy Demand Response program, irrigation systems and water treatment service contract for cooling towers.

Ana Echeverria
Energy Conservation Engagement Foreman
Ana is responsible for promoting energy and water conservation, zero waste, and engaging the AISD community to support continuous conservation improvements. She served as AISD Energy Conservation Specialist since 2019, monitoring energy consumption and efficiency, while supporting controls’ troubleshooting for the building automation systems at AISD campuses. She is known in her field by successfully streamlining processes. Her prior experience includes 10 years in Automation, controls, and Business Analysis, working mostly at construction companies and manufacturing environments. She is an Electronic and Computer Engineer, with an MBA in International Project Management. She also possesses a background in general mechanics, and accounting through trade school, which she uses to close the gap between operations and organizational leadership. On her spare time, she is an advisor to small business owners and a mentor to individuals seeking to start a path on STEM careers.
