Financial Officer, Interim Chief 

Katrina Montgomery is the transformational, people-focused financial leader of Âé¶¹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD. Interim Chief Montgomery oversees an overall budget of more than $4 billion. Her 30-year trajectory includes serving as interim VP of Administration and Finance and Controller at Huston-Tillotson University. She has a Master of Finance from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Grambling State University. None of her accolades fully express her commitment to creating opportunities for all students but particularly students in underserved communities so they too can achieve success. 


Edna Butts

Edna Butts

Director, Intergovernmental Relations & Policy Oversight

Edna Butts is Âé¶¹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD’s Director of Intergovernmental Relations & Policy Oversight. Her duties include monitoring legislation that affects education on the state, federal and local levels. 

She has undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas. Director Butts’ experience includes serving as General Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor for then Kirk Watson and serving as Assistant Attorney General of the state of Texas. Edna Butts was named Distinguished Lawyer by the Âé¶¹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Bar Association in 2024. 


Beverly ReevesBeverly Reeves

Ombuds of the Âé¶¹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Independent School District
 
Ombuds Reeves is the original Ombuds for Âé¶¹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD. She retired in 2019 and worked with other school districts in conducting investigations and developing training. Reeves returned to Âé¶¹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD last year. 
 
Ombuds Reeves has degrees from Baylor and St. Edward's Universities. She earned a bachelor's degree in communications and a master's degree in organizational leadership and Ethics respectively. Her career began at the Texas Department of Public Safety. She enjoys spending  time with family and friends, and traveling.
