Get Tested

A covid test

A new report shows that the more we get tested for COVID-19, the more we keep it out of classrooms.

  • “Face masks and proactive testing are projected to substantially mitigate spread,” says the report from the UT 鶹ý Modeling Consortium.

Why it matters: Testing allows us to find asymptomatic students or staff who may be spreading the virus without knowing it — it’s a big part of our approach to keeping schools safe.

Where to get tested: Most pharmacies offer both rapid antigen and non-rapid PCR tests. 鶹ý Public Health also offers free tests throughout the city, and we have free rapid tests on our campuses.

Yes, but: On-campus testing is for symptomatic students and staff only. If you can, getting a free COVID-19 test through 鶹ý Public Health or another community partner is the best way to go.
