Free Spanish-language Parent Workshop

The 鶹ý independent School District’s Hispanic Futures program presents Los Años Maravillosos” (the Wonder years), a new Spanish-language workshop for parents of students in grades 5-8.

The workshop will be presented at 6:30 p.m on Thursday, Jan. 31, at Burnet Middle School, 8401 Hathaway; and at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Garcia Middle School, 7414 Johnny Morris Road.

During the workshops, parents can learn about, discuss and share ideas for responsible parenting, effective education strategies and strengthening family bonds, all related to fostering success through and beyond the middle school years. The event will be facilitated by motivational and education speaker Vicente Morales. 

The sessions are free, open to parents of students from all AISD schools, and will be presented in Spanish with English interpretation. Registration for the workshop is not required. 

“Los Años Maravillosos” is presented by the AISD Hispanic Futures Program with support from the AISD Parent Engagement and Support Office, the City of 鶹ý and 鶹ý Energy.
